Hi there. I was searching for some Christmas movies and somehow I happened upon the Neptune Theater link. It sounded familiar but I couldn't place it immediately. So I came here and chose the most recent post. Then I looked about all over the various posts and guess what??? I still had no idea who and where you were.....until I saw a reference to Argyle St., then later Cogswell and finally the Flashmob at Scotia Square. Whew, finally I tied it all together and remembered that the Neptune was in Halifax. Now, I lived in Halifax from 1979 to 1985. Being young and dumb I spent more time on bars and beers than on culture of any kind. Anyway, the one suggestion I might make to you, or to your RUclips Channel administrator, is that you put YOUR ADDRESS, Email, Twitter, Facebook and any thing else that immediately, without having to search for 20 minutes or so, to identify WHERE the Neptune Theater is. You have to remember, not everyone will immediately know that the Neptune Theater is in Halifax N.S. In fact, since RUclips is a GLOBAL platform 99.999999999% of the world (or more) has no idea where Halifax....or Nova Scotia...happens to be. Sure they know where Canada is but not much more. So I think you have to view this from a global standpoint and make more effort to talk about WHERE the theater is in relation to the rest of the world....what you do - theater or theatre can mean many things. And seriously, people may want to contact you so ALL of your contact information MUST be clearly available for anyone across Canada and the US, and from around the world, to contact you. You may not realize how many people lived in Halifax for any number of years and has very fond memories about so many things from the Concert on the Hill to taking the ferry across to Dartmouth ( I know, its not Dartmouth any longer except to people who have lived in Halifax anytime in the last 400 to 500 hundred years) and oh so many other wonderful things about that great city. So please, the very first thing that should be on this channel is a clear message about all the things I indicated, spread widely and clearly so people can IMMEDIATELY identify the city, and where you are, and how to contact you. And seriously, even more, some people who did live there and moved away, - or visited while on vacation and went to one of your productions - would love to chip in a few $$$ to support such a great cultural landmark in that beautiful city of yours. Please take this seriously. I guess I was searching on RUclips for Christmas movies and when 'A Christmas Carol' came up on the list with the account name Neptune Theater I got curious and spent 20 minutes looking through the account and wonder of wonder, I found YOU. But is was NOT easy to find anything out. So there is my long winded advice for you as my Christmas Gift to you all. I know it's hard to look at something YOU know so intimately and to NOT take a look as if you were someone from Peking or on the International Space Station. Seriously, you need to GLOBALIZE your thinking, highlight Halifax (which is very well known globally, especially since the Cruise Ships come there by the dozen) and maybe even talk about Public Funding which could bring in some much needed $$$, or so I would assume. So there you have it. Oh, I now live back in my native New Brunswick, just north of Saint John, so I am just a short ferry ride away and can actually see the coast over Digby way on a clear summers day. Nova Scotia is a wonderful province and a place I loved to live. Exploring the whole coastline and small fishing communities was our summertime adventures all the years we lived there. So entice me back with something interesting this summer...haha. Have a great Christmas and Hanukkah season.
